A billionaire & a double blue blood, ‘Sir Julian’ as I prefer to call him, traces his royal heritage to 2 of Nigeria’s most revered kingdoms, the Osula Royal Clan of the ancient Benin Kingdom & the Kingdom of Warri, through ancestors whose names remain permanently etched in history: Oba Osemwende, the 34th Oba of Benin (181 to 1848), & Oba Akengbuwa I, the 16th Olu of Warri (1795 to 1848).
It is a lineage steeped in nobility. Yet, what distinguishes him even more is how magnificently he has written his own chapter.
He doesn’t simply market luxury. He breathes it. He embodies it. He lives it.

Born in Nkalagu, now in Enugu State, in 1966, ‘Sir’ Julian had his early education in Benin before proceeding to the United Kingdom. Returning to Nigeria, he studied Law at the University of Benin, obtained his LL.B., proceeded to the Nigerian Law School for his B.L., & began his professional career at First City Merchant Bank, under one of Nigeria’s greatest banking icons & men of exquisite taste, the late Otunba Subomi Balogun. Then to Alpha Merchant Bank.
From banking, he ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing Manla Enterprises, whose clientele included Elf, Texaco, INEC, Access Bank, the Presidency & the Nigerian Navy, for whom he executed the supply of warship spare parts.
Having conquered that terrain, destiny eventually led him to what has become his life’s signature. Luxury.
He founded Stiple Gate in 2011 before unveiling Julian’s Luxury in 2013, a brand that has since become the gold standard for authentic luxury in Nigeria & beyond. His enviable tentacles extends far across, bringing luxury to the doorsteps of the discerning with gusto.
Behind this remarkably accomplished gentleman stands his elegant wife, the ever-gracious Oghogho Osula (@osulaoghogho). Together, they are blessed with 3 wonderful children; Ephraim, Julian & Edmond, a family that reflects the values of excellence, grace & enduring legacy.
