At 54, Adetokunbo Philip Wahab- aka Toks Wahab, current honourable Commissioner for Environment, Lagos State, stands tall as one of those increasingly rare public figures whose presence effortlessly commands respect, admiration & genuine affection.
Some men occupy office; others dignify it. He undoubtedly belongs to the latter class.
Today, I celebrate in advance, not merely a government official, but a truly exceptional human being, an extraordinarily refined gentleman whose character, intellect, discipline & humanity continue to distinguish him in every space he occupies.
To describe him simply as brilliant would be an understatement. To call him hardworking alone would barely scratch the surface.
Tokunbo Wahab is the embodiment of quiet excellence, a man of uncommon depth, remarkable grace & enviable standards. Humility sits naturally & confidently upon him. Managing the environmental complexities of a mega-city like Lagos is not for the faint-hearted. It requires intellect, courage, resilience, vision & relentless commitment. That he continues to navigate such enormous responsibility with composure & admirable effectiveness speaks volumes about the extraordinary capacity he possesses.
Truthfully, if Lagos breathes easier, looks cleaner, functions better & continues striving towards environmental sanity amidst its explosive growth, then immense credit must go to dedicated minds like his working tirelessly behind the scenes.
